Principal’s Welcome

Principal's Welcome

I am privileged to be part of the St Vincent’s story that has been unfolding for over 60 years and honoured to be leading a team of highly motivated professionals dedicated to excellence and the highest level of pastoral care for all in our community.

Established in 1956 by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, St Vincent’s School has grown to a co-educational double stream primary school catering for over 460 students from Kindergarten to Year Six. We also offer an engaging early learning program for three-year olds (playgroup) that introduces children, and their families, to our school.

At St Vincent’s, we endeavour to nurture all children to grow as confident, independent, life–long learners and to see themselves as agents of change. We set high standards for teaching and learning and achieve this through placing children at the heart of everything we do, providing creative and engaging opportunities for learning and working closely as a community.

The emotional and social wellbeing of our students is a priority at St Vincent’s. We support our children through the inevitable disappointments, challenges and sadness that come with living life to its fullest and becoming the best possible version of themselves. We know our children are capable of great things and have faith they will navigate and learn from all experiences.

Recognising the Spirit of Jesus in others and being grateful for the “God Moments” that are happening around us all the time are a natural part of our school day. Making Jesus Real (MJR) provides us with a road map for being a Christ-like presence to each other aligned with the expectation of treating others with dignity and respect. It is woven throughout our policies and culture and enriches the quality of all relationships, helping bring our Catholic faith to life.

At St Vincent’s, families become part of a faith-filled community which shares the pursuit of positive, well balanced Christian values for their children.

We are closely aligned with the parish community and enjoy wonderful support from our Parish Priest, Rev Fr Thi Lam.

Should you wish to become part of our special school community, I encourage you to complete an enrolment form which can be downloaded here.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
